CARIBBEAN SPICE WINGS

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound wings
  • 2 tablespoons Blackening spice 
  • ½ cup flour 
  • Oil for frying 

Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 ½ tablespoon lemon juice 
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons blackening spice 
  • Toasted sesame seeds 
  • Escallion curls 


Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, season wings with 2 teaspoons blackening spice. 
  2. Add remaining blackening spice to flour. 
  3. Thoroughly coat chicken wings in flour. 
  4. Add oil to a pot over medium heat. Allow the oil to become hot. 
  5. Fry wings for 10 - 15 minutes until golden brown and cooked. Drain and Put aside.
  6. In a saucepan over medium heat, add honey, lemon juice, sesame oil, blackening spice.
  7. Simmer until the mixture forms a glaze 
  8. Toss wings in the glaze. Top with sesame seed and scallion curls. 
  9. Serve
